The Committee of Adjustment meeting regarding the property developer's variance application took place on May 19th. This variance would have allowed the construction of four units where one home now sits. The Committee voted to decline the variance application.

Gallivan Construction, the property developer, has filed an appeal with the Ontario Municipal Board. There will likely be an Ontario Municipal Board hearing sometime this Fall to decide whether or not to stand by the Committee of Adjustment's original decision, or to grant the variance and allow the property developer to go ahead as planned. We will be posting more details and sending them out via email to Neighbourhood News recipients as we get them.
