New Play Structure for New Orchard Park

The requirements for space surrounding play equipment are much greater today than they were when the park was originally built. It's been very challenging to come up with a play structure design that will satisfy the needs and wishes of park users and the space requirements. We are thrilled to have been able to come to a solution with this great new play structure design that has loads of play value and provides play areas for all ages.

We have been given a revised timeline of the end of August or beginning of September for when the new play equipment will be in place. The actual installation of the new play equipment is expected to take only a couple of days.

All of the existing equipment will be kept except for the small swing set. It's unfortunate that it has to be removed, but doing so frees up a lot of space and will allow us to have a play structure design that is far superior to what we could have had if both swing sets were kept. The City has agreed to move the actual swings from the small set to replace two of the swings on the existing larger set.
