Third Annual Lantern Walk
Saturday, November 9th - 6-7:30pm
Please join us for our lantern walk this Saturday, November 9th from 6ish-7.30. We gather as a community with our homemade lanterns on a little route through the neighbourhood ending at the community garden for warm cider and cookies.
Bring a lantern to light your way and a mug for our social time after. This is a procession that gives us the warmth and light to hold onto as we enter the darkest time of year.
See the route below. Feel free to be picked up by the procession along the route or to meet us at the garden around 7pm -- or meet some of us at my house on Lawn Ave (email for address) at around 6pm, before we head out to start at 6.30.
Want to help organize? We have a little team of people lighting candles and setting up the snack area at the garden. Let me know if you want to be part of this.
Want to bring cookies? Donations of cookies would be amazing. Please bring with you to put out after the walk or to my house that afternoon.
Want to donate something? We are looking for glass jars. They are so much easier to keep lite at the garden then our normal paper bags. Please drop off any jars to my front porch anytime this week. Labels fine, I'll peel them off.
Want to know the route? We will meet at the corner of Woodland and Lawn at 6.30pm and continue walking down Lawn to Ancaster, then up Midway. We will then cut down Wentworth to Lawn, then up to the garden. Please meet us at any place along this route and we will make a procession!
