Call for Volunteers

We continue to seek volunteers for our committees and various sub–committees. If you are interested, please send an email to volunteers@woodpark.ca to connect with us.

The Woodpark Community Association plays an important role ensuring residents stay informed, represented and connected on the issues that affect us.  This work is managed by a dedicated and energetic group of neighbours who volunteer their time to make a difference.  

In order to continue to support Woodpark as a safe, sustainable and liveable community and because many hands makes for light work, the Association is currently looking for volunteers to support our work in a number of important areas.  

• Outreach and Events (Chair, Mar Preston mar.preston@woodpark.ca) 

• Infrastructure and Development (Chair, Sue Milburn-Hopwood Susanjmilburn@woodpark.ca).  We are seeking several volunteers for this committee who have an interest in urban planning or are familiar with the City of Ottawa's planning and zoning bylaws.

• Sustainability (Chair - Jennifer Solloway jennifer.solloway@woodpark.ca) 

• Internal Services (website, financial management, funding raising, administration) (Chair - David.Levesque@woodpark.ca) For this committee we are hoping for a few volunteers who have experience with WIX and MailChimp or experience with fundraising.

If  you are interested in finding out more about these communities and would like to volunteer to be on one of them, please reach out to the Committee Chairperson associated with the committee you are interested in. The Communities meet on an occasional basis either virtual or in person.

This is a wonderful opportunity for people who have 1-2 hours a month and want to give back to this wonderful community we call home.
