Spring Fest - Saturday May 2, 2026 (Rain date - Sunday May 3) -  We are planning a fun spring event to take place in New Orchard Park from 10-12.  We are planning activities for our younger residents, and there will be refreshments for all.  We hope that this will be a great opportunity for neighbours to connect and are really hoping that warmer Spring weather will have taken hold by then!  If you are interested in volunteering either in the planning or on the day itself let us know!

Finally we will elect the Board of Directors for the Woodpark Community Association for the coming year at the meeting. Mark your calendars. We hope to see you there!

Call for New Directors for the Woodpark Community AssociationWith all of the change coming to the neighbourhood this is an important time to have a strong community association to help guide this change and ensure that Woodpark remains a great place to liveWe are looking for a few new Directors to join the Board of Directors for the Woodpark Community Association. If you have a few hours free each month, want to meet new people and want to help shape the future of our community by joining the Board, please let us know by sending an email to woodpark@woodpark.ca

Your thoughts on the need for further parking restrictions - Earlier this year we have sought input from Woodpark residents on current parking problems and the need for additional restrictions given the anticipated new developments and the eventual opening of the LRT. The original post with information on the restrictions that currently exist and options to consider is found with this link.  Thank you to those of you who have already provided input. If you have thought about the need for further parking restrictions and haven't let us know it is not too late. Please send us your thoughts at woodpark@woodpark.ca

Kindergarten Registration - If you have a child ready to start junior kindergarten it is time to get them registered at the school of your choice. Details are available on the websites of the 4 school boards that operate in the City of Ottawa. For those of you interested in enrolling in the Ottawa Carleton District School Board's Alternative Program at Regina School please be aware that the Board has reversed its decision to pause enrollment of kindergarteners at this school. Given the anticipated increase in population in the area in the years to come this is good news.
